Ingredients/Components
- Jell-O green, red, lemon and orange - 4 pkg
- Knox gelatine - 2 pkg
- cold water - 1/2 c
- milk - 2 c
- sugar - 1 c
- sour cream - 1 pt
- vanilla - 2 tsp
How to make ribbon salad:
Prepare 4 Jell-O's, each in 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water. Dissolve Knox gelatine in 1/2 cup cold water. Bring milk to boil; remove from stove. Stir in sugar. Add Knox gelatine. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Blend with mixer; do not overbeat.Place green Jell-O in 9 x 13-inch pan. When set, pour 1 1/2 cups white mixture over. Alternate colored Jell-O and white mixture. Let each layer set. If Jell-O or white mixture begins to thicken too soon, set in a pan of warm water.
