Rhubarb nut bread

Ingredients/Components

• brown sugar, packed
• liquid shortening - 2/3 c
• egg - 1 item
• sour milk or 2 tsp - 1 c
• salt - 1 tsp
• soda baking - 1 tsp
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• flour
• diced rhubarb
• chopped nuts - 1/2 c
• granulated sugar
• butter or oleo - 1 Tbsp

How to make rhubarb nut bread:

Topping:1/2 c. granulated sugar1 Tbsp. butter or oleo Stir ingredients in order given. Pour into 2 well-greased and floured loaf pans 2/3 full. Sprinkle topping over each loaf. Bake in 350° oven for 40 to 60 minutes or when tested with toothpick comes out clean.
