  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • dash of cream of tartar - 1 item
  • egg yolks, beaten - 3 item
  • Meringue:3 egg whites
  • cream half and half - 1/2 c
  • diced, raw rhubarb - 1 to

How to make rhubarb custard pie:

Meringue:3 egg whites6 Tbsp. sugar dash of cream of tartar Make unbaked 9-inch pie shell and fill with diced, raw rhubarb. Combine sugar, flour, egg yolks, vanilla and cream; pour over rhubarb and bake at 450° until set. Remove and make meringue.

Beat egg whites until frothy and gradually add sugar until stiff. Cover over pie and bake at 350° to slowly brown meringue.
