Rhubarb crumb cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- packed brown sugar
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- dairy sour cream - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- chopped rhubarb
How to make rhubarb crumb cake:
Combine and set aside the first 4 ingredients. Cream shortening and brown sugar. Stir in egg and blend well. Combine sour cream and soda; add alternately with flour to the creamed mixture. Stir in rhubarb and vanilla. Put batter into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with the sugar-cinnamon-butter and nut mixture. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
