How to make rhubarb cake:

Cream shortening. Add packed brown sugar and beat well. Blend in egg, vanilla, sour cream, flour and soda. Mix well. Stir in rhubarb. Pour into 13 x 9-inch pan, greased. Combine 1/3 cup brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle on top. Bake at 350° for
