  • sugar - 1 c
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • flour - 1 c
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • rhubarb - 3 c

How to make rhubarb cake:

Place rhubarb in 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Cover with sugar and butter. Cream egg, sugar and shortening. Add flour, baking powder and milk. Pour over fruit. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes. Any kind of fruit may be used but adjust sugar on fruit accordingly.
