  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • oleo - 2 Tbsp
  • sour milk - 1 c
  • Add egg
  • fresh rhubarb, diced

How to make rhubarb cake:

Cream the sugars and shortening until fluffy. Add egg. Stir in flour and soda. Add milk and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Fold in rhubarb. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan.Topping:1/2 c. white sugar2 Tbsp. oleo1 tsp. cinnamon1/2 c. chopped nuts Put melted oleo on top of the cake. Mix sugar and cinnamon together. Put on top of oleo. Put chopped nuts on top. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
