Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- butter
- baking powder
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted flour - 2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- strawberry jello - 1 pkg
- rhubarb and strawberries - 6 c
How to make rhubarb cake:
Topping:6 Tbsp. butter1 1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. flour Mix dry ingredients as for pie dough. Add beaten egg and milk. Mix thoroughly and press into a 9 x 13-inch pan. Pour over crust the rhubarb and strawberries. Sprinkle with dry jello. Combine butter, sugar and flour for streusel. Spread over fruit.
