Ingredients/Components

  • brown sugar, packed
  • liquid shortening oil - 2/3 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • diced rhubarb
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • raisins optional - 1/2 c
  • sugar
  • melted oleo or butter - 2 Tbsp

How to make rhubarb bread:

Topping:1 c. sugar2 Tbsp. melted oleo or butter Mix together and put in 6 small mini pans.

Before baking, prepare topping and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 325° for about 40 minutes. Do not overbake.
