Rhubarb bread
Ingredients/Components
- flour
- brown sugar
- egg - 1 item
- salad oil - 2/3 c
- nuts if desired - 1/2 c
- sour milk or buttermilk - 1 c
- each: salt, soda and vanilla - 1 tsp
- fresh rhubarb, diced
How to make rhubarb bread:
Mix in order given. Pour into greased loaf pans. Sprinkle top with mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon butter. Bake at 325° for 60 minutes. Do not overbake.Note: May use frozen rhubarb.
