- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- white corn meal - 1 c
How to make rhode island johnnycakes:
Stir corn meal and salt into 1 cup boiling water. Simmer for 10 minutes or until the mixture starts to thicken, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and add milk gradually, stirring until thickened.
