Reuben sandwiches
Ingredients/Components
- slices Swiss cheese - 6 item
- mayonnaise or salad dressing - 1/3 c
- chili sauce - 1 Tbsp
- slices rye bread - 12 item
- slices cooked corned beef - 6 item
How to make reuben sandwiches:
Substitute 1 1/2 cups coleslaw for sauerkraut. Mix mayonnaise and chili sauce. Spread over 6 slices of bread. Arrange cheese, corned beef and sauerkraut on top of mayonnaise mixture. Top with remaining bread slices (if desired, spread margarine over both sides of each sandwich). Cook over low heat until bottom is golden brown and cheese begins to melt, about 10 minutes.
