Reuben casserole

Reuben casserole



  • hot water - 1 c
  • 1 stick butter or margarine - 1/2 c
  • sauerkraut - 2 c
  • seasoned croutons - 5 c
  • sliced corned beef - 1 lb
  • slices Swiss cheese reserve 2 slices for top - 6 item

How to make reuben casserole:

In large bowl, mix croutons with melted butter. Add hot water and sauerkraut. Stir. Grease large casserole dish. Begin layering with crouton mixture, sliced beef and Swiss cheese, ending with croutons on top. Bake, covered, at 350° for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and lay remaining cheese slices on top. Bake an additional 10 minutes, uncovered. Serve with Thousand Island dressing or mustard.
