  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • boiling water - 1 c
  • unsifted flour - 6 c
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • warm water - 1 c
  • yeast - 2 pkg

How to make refrigerator rolls:

Pour boiling water over shortening, sugar and salt. Blend and cool. Add well beaten eggs. Sprinkle yeast into warm water and stir until dissolved; add to shortening mixture. Add flour; blend well. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Dough rises slightly in refrigerator.

Roll out like biscuits. Let rise about 3 hours. Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen rolls. Will keep 10 days or longer, if refrigerated.
