Refrigerator pickles
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt
- celery seed - 2 tsp
- medium onion, sliced - 1 item
- distilled white vinegar - 1 c
- medium cucumbers, peeled and sliced - 4 item
- large green bell pepper, seeded and chopped - 1 item
How to make refrigerator pickles:
In a colander, toss cucumbers and salt. Place colander in sink or bowl and let drain for 2 hours. Mix sugar, vinegar and celery seed in large bowl until sugar dissolves. Add cucumbers, bell pepper and onion; toss to mix. Spoon into clean jars. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours before serving.
