Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 3/4 c
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/3 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- Crisco - 1/3 c
How to make refrigerator cookies:
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Cream shortening and butter. Add brown and white sugars. Blend. Add egg and vanilla. Beat mixture until light; add nutmeats. Blend in dry ingredients and mix well. Divide dough in 2 parts and make 2 rolls. Wrap in wax paper; chill overnight in refrigerator.
