Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 2 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- nuts - 1 c
- red food coloring - 2 oz
- Wesson oil
- box 10x sugar - 1 item
- Add eggs and beat well
- vanilla or other flavoring - 1 tsp
How to make red velvet cake:
Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs and beat well. Add vinegar and red food coloring. Mix well. Add dry ingredients (that have been sifted together), alternating with buttermilk. Add vanilla and beat well. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350°.Frosting:8 oz. cream cheese1 c. nuts1 box 10x sugar1 tsp. vanilla or other flavoring1/2 c. butter Cream the cream cheese and butter. Add sugar and vanilla; mix well.
