Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- coconut - 1 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 2 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- red food coloring - 2 oz
How to make red velvet cake:
Icing:1 c. milk1/2 c. flour pinch of salt1 c. sugar1 c. Crisco1 tsp. vanilla coconut Cream the sugar and oil. Add eggs. Beat well. Add vinegar and cake coloring. Beat and add vanilla, milk and sifted dry ingredients. Beat well. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Mix and cook until thick the milk, flour and pinch of salt. Set in refrigerator until cool. Beat until fluffy the sugar and Crisco. Combine all these together. Add the vanilla and beat until thick. Spread on cake and sprinkle with coconut.
