- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- stick margarine - 1 item
- cocoa - 2 Tbsp
- baking soda
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- 10x sugar - 1 c
- 1/2 sticks butter - 1 item
- bottle red food coloring - 1 oz
- buttermilk with 1 tsp - 1 c
- bottle water - 1 oz
- Beat eggs and margarine real well with sugar
How to make red velvet cake:
Let eggs, butter and milk set out to get room temperature. Beat eggs and margarine real well with sugar. Mix food coloring, water, cocoa and salt in a cup. Add alternately flour and buttermilk. Dissolve baking soda in vinegar in cup. Stir in with a spoon. Do not beat. Bake in 9 x 13-inch cake pan at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.Icing:6 Tbsp. flour1 c. milk1 1/2 sticks butter1 tsp. vanilla1 c. 10x sugar Cook flour and milk until it gets thick.
