- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- cooking oil
- butter flavoring - 1 tsp
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- bottle red food coloring - 1 item
- plain sugar
- Add milk, vanilla, food coloring, then add all dry ingredients
How to make red velvet cake:
Mix cooking oil, sugar and eggs. Add milk, vanilla, food coloring, then add all dry ingredients. Bake in oblong pan for 40 minutes at 350°.Cream Cheese Frosting1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 stick margarine1 c. chopped nuts1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla Cream margarine and cream cheese until smooth; add sugar, flavoring and 1 or 2 tablespoons canned milk to make consistency to spread.
