Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • eggs - 2 item
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • cocoa - 2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • baking soda
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • red food coloring - 2 oz
  • vanilla flavor - 1 tsp

How to make red velvet cake:

Cream butter and sugar. Make paste, then add eggs. Put red food coloring and cocoa together in a separate cup. Add to cream mixture. Then add vanilla flavor and buttermilk together. Pour it into the mixture and add 2 cups of flour. Mix together real good soda and vinegar in separate, small bowl and add last. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
