Ingredients/Components
- slices bacon, cut in pieces - 4 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- rice - 1 c
- dried basil - 1 tsp
- dried parsley flakes - 2 tsp
- salted - 1 tsp
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- can water - 1 item
How to make red rice:
Fry bacon until almost brown; add onion and sauce. Add rice and coat it with the fat. Mix tomato sauce, water and spices. Pour over rice mixture. Bring to a boil for 3 minutes. Cover and simmer until done, 30 to 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Pasta, rice and grains, Rice.
