Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • oil - 1 c
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • slivered almonds, toasted - 8 Tbsp
  • rice vinegar - 6 Tbsp
  • green onions, chopped - 8 item
  • Accent - 2 tsp
  • sesame seeds, toasted - 8 Tbsp
  • head red cabbage, shredded or chopped - 1 item
  • Ramen Noodles uncooked* - 2 pkg
  • Put sesame seeds in dry pan on stove on low fire, stir constantly, for several minutes

How to make red cabbage salad:

*Note: Reserve any flavor packet in noodle package for another use.

Put sesame seeds in dry pan on stove on low fire, stir constantly, for several minutes. They burn quickly so don't do for very long.

Do NOT assemble salad until ready to serve. Crumble Ramen noodles. Add almonds and sesame seeds to onions and cabbage. Mix well with dressing. All of the ingredients can be prepared ahead and assembled when ready to serve.Dressing:4 Tbsp. sugar2 tsp. Accent1 tsp. pepper1 tsp. salt1 c. oil6 Tbsp. rice vinegar
