How to make red cabbage:

Clean and chop red cabbage. Heat oil in large pan over medium heat and add cabbage and onion. Stir to coat cabbage. Add about 1/2 to 1/3 cups water and 2 to 3 tablespoons vinegar. Add the apples and spices; stir. Cover to let steam 70 to 90 minutes. Taste for salt, sugar and more vinegar.
