Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- raw apples, diced - 3 c
How to make raw apple cake:
Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture. Add apples and nuts. (Mixture will be thick.) Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan for 35 to 40 minutes at 350°. Forms a thin crust on top and need no icing unless desired.May use a dollop of whipped cream.
