Raspberry vinegar
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- white wine vinegar - 4 c
- fresh raspberries - 3 c
How to make raspberry vinegar:
Rinse berries and air dry on paper towel. Place berries in a 6 cup jar; set aside. In medium saucepan, combine vinegar and sugar. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar melts. Do not boil. Pour hot mixture over berries; cover jar tightly and let stand at room temperature for 48 hours. Strain through several layers of cheesecloth into a jar or bottle. Seal tightly with lid. Store in cool, dark place. Yield: 4 cups.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Berries, Raspberries.
