Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- raisins
- margarine - 2 tsp
- dark corn syrup - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- pastry for double crust pie 9-inch
How to make raisin pie:
In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Stir in water, corn syrup and raisins. Cook and stir until bubbly; cook and stir 2 minutes more. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice and margarine. Filling will be thin. Pour into pastry-lined pie plate. Cover with top crust. Seal and flute edges. Cut slits in top. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes; reduce temperature to 375° and bake 30 minutes more.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
