Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 1 c
  • raisins
  • margarine - 2 tsp
  • dark corn syrup - 1/2 c
  • lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • pastry for double crust pie 9-inch

How to make raisin pie:

In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt. Stir in water, corn syrup and raisins. Cook and stir until bubbly; cook and stir 2 minutes more. Remove from heat; stir in lemon juice and margarine. Filling will be thin. Pour into pastry-lined pie plate. Cover with top crust. Seal and flute edges. Cut slits in top. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes; reduce temperature to 375° and bake 30 minutes more.
