Quick jambalaya
Ingredients/Components
- water - 1/2 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- diced green pepper - 3/4 c
- chili powder - 1/4 tsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- sliced celery - 3/4 c
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- instant rice
- minced garlic cloves - 2 item
- can Spam - 1 oz
How to make quick jambalaya:
Cut Spam into 2 x 1/4-inch strips. Saute Spam, green peppers, celery, onion and garlic in oil until vegetables are tender. Add tomatoes, water, thyme and chili powder, breaking tomatoes up with fork. Bring to a full boil. Stir in rice. Cover; remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Brown rice.
