Ingredients/Components
- pastry for 1 9-inch pie crust
- slices bacon, fried and crumbled - 12 item
- shredded Swiss cheese - 1 c
- finely chopped onion - 1/2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- cream light or heavy - 2 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- paprika - 1/8 tsp
How to make quiche lorraine:
Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion on pie shell. Beat eggs slightly. Beat in remaining salt, pepper and paprika. Pour cream into egg mixture and pour all into pie shell. Bake, uncovered, in a 425° oven for 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 300°. Bake uncovered until knife comes out clean, about 30 minutes.
