Quiche lorraine
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- heavy cream - 1 c
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- 6 oz
- dash of cayenne - 1 item
- slices crisp bacon, crumbled - 8 item
- pie crust - 1 item
- onion, minced and sauteed in margarine - 1 item
How to make quiche lorraine:
Sprinkle cheese and bacon into pastry lined pie pan. Sprinkle onion on top of cheese and bacon. Beat remaining ingredients together and pour over top. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until browned and firm. Cool slightly.Note: May substitute 1 1/2 cups half and half cream for the cream and milk or 1 1/2 cups whole milk.
