Ingredients/Components
- shredded Swiss cheese - 2 c
- strips bacon, crisply fried and crumbled - 6 item
- eggs - 4 item
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- mushrooms, chopped - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- cayenne pepper - 1/8 tsp
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- Parmesan cheese - 2 Tbsp
- green onions, diced - 3 item
- 10-inch pie crust - 1 item
How to make quiche lorraine:
Beat eggs until frothy, then add cornstarch, cream, salt, nutmeg and pepper. Beat briskly. Fold in cheese, bacon, onions and mushrooms. Pour into 10-inch pie shell. Dribble the melted butter over the top and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over all. Bake at 375° for 30 to 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Main dish, Savory pies.
