Ingredients/Components

  • shredded Swiss cheese - 2 c
  • strips bacon, crisply fried and crumbled - 6 item
  • eggs - 4 item
  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • mushrooms, chopped - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • cayenne pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • melted butter - 2 Tbsp
  • Parmesan cheese - 2 Tbsp
  • green onions, diced - 3 item
  • 10-inch pie crust - 1 item

How to make quiche lorraine:

Beat eggs until frothy, then add cornstarch, cream, salt, nutmeg and pepper. Beat briskly. Fold in cheese, bacon, onions and mushrooms. Pour into 10-inch pie shell. Dribble the melted butter over the top and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over all. Bake at 375° for 30 to 40 minutes.
