Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• flour
• butter - 1/4 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• baking powder - 1 tsp
• pinch of salt - 1 item
• boiling water - 1 c
• egg - 1 item
• nuts - 1/2 c
• dates, cut small - 1 c

How to make queen elizabeth cake:

Combine dates and soda. Pour boiling water over and let cool. Mix the rest of the ingredients together and add to date mixture. Bake at 350° for 30 - 35 minutes.
