Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- coconut - 1 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- chopped dates - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- cream - 5 Tbsp
- oleo - 1/4 c
- When cool, add soda
How to make queen elizabeth cake:
Pour boiling water over dates. When cool, add soda. Mix sugar, oleo, egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add date mixture and nuts. Mix well. Bake 30 minutes at 350°.Topping:5 Tbsp. oleo5 Tbsp. cream1/2 c. brown sugar coconut chopped nuts Boil first 3 ingredients for 3 minutes.
