- butter - 1 Tbsp
- cloves - 4 item
- catsup - 1 Tbsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- mushrooms - 12 item
- onion - 1 item
- carrot - 1/2 item
- quail - 6 item
- sprig parsley - 1 item
- soup stock or water - 1 pt
- pepper or paprika - 1 item
- wineglass sherry - 1/2 item
How to make quail casserole:
Place parsley, bay leaf and onion in the casserole then add quail, soup, salt and pepper or paprika. Cover the dish and put into oven for 1 1/2 hours at 350°. When tender, make sauce as follows: Heat 1 tablespoon butter and add 1 tablespoon flour;Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Quail.
