Pumpkin pie
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- ginger - 1/2 tsp
- cloves - 1/8 tsp
- white sugar - 1/2 c
- slightly beaten eggs - 2 item
- nutmeg or allspice - 1/4 tsp
- cooked or canned pumpkin - 2 c
- evaporated milk or cream
How to make pumpkin pie:
Line a 9-inch pie pan with dough. Mix until well blended all ingredients. Pour into pie shell. Bake 15 minutes at 425°. Reduce heat to 350° and bake about 45 minutes longer, until an inserted knife comes out clean. I make a strip of aluminum foil to cover the edge of pie crust. It keeps it from getting too brown. Beat a half pint of whipping cream with 1/4 cup of sugar in a glass bowl until stiff for topping.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
