Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- raisins - 2/3 c
- warm water - 2/3 c
- Crisco shortening - 2/3 c
- orange juice - 1/3 c
- can pumpkin - 1 oz
- Egg Beaters - 1 c
How to make pumpkin patch bread:
Combine the shortening and sugar in a large bowl. Mix with spoon until blended and crumbly. Add eggs and beat until fairly smooth. Mix in orange juice, water and pumpkin. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and baking powder. Sift into pumpkin mixture. Stir until dry ingredients are just moistened. Stir in raisins. Pour evenly into pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pans. Cool completely on wire rack.
