Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- ground cloves - 1 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- can pumpkin - 1 16
- cup chopped pecans - 1 item
- cup raisins - 1 item
- cups sugar - 3 item
- cups all purpose flour - 3 item
- cup butter, softened - 1 item
How to make pumpkin nut bread:
Cream butter, gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine next seven ingredients, add to creamed mixture alternately with pumpkin, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in vanilla, raisins and pecans. Spoon into 4 greased and floured one pound coffee cans. Bake at 350° for one hour or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in cans 10 minutes, remove from cans and cool completely on wire racks. Yields: 4 loaves. Can also be baked in loaf pans.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Breads, Quick breads.
