  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • milk
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • egg yolks - 3 item
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • pumpkin - 1 c
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • allspice - 1/2 tsp
  • baked pie shell - 1 item
  • Add milk, then yolks and pumpkin, stirring until creamy

How to make pumpkin meringue pie:

Blend dry ingredients in top of double boiler. Add milk, then yolks and pumpkin, stirring until creamy. Cook 20 minutes. Pour into shell. Top with meringue.Meringue:3 egg whites dash of salt1/3 c. sugar1/2 c. nuts. chopped Beat egg whites until stiff and satiny. Spread on top of pie. Sprinkle with nuts. Brown lightly.
