Pumpkin drop cookies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- ginger - 1/2 tsp
- nuts, if desired - 1 c
- large can pumpkin - 1 item
- raisins, if desired - 1 c
How to make pumpkin drop cookies:
Mix egg, sugar, ginger and nutmeg. Add pumpkin and mix well. Sift together baking powder, salt and flour; add to pumpkin mix alternately with shortening and vanilla. Add raisins or nuts, if necessary. Combine all ingredients, mix well and drop by teaspoon onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes.
