Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 2/3 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- ginger - 1 tsp
- brown sugar, packed - 1 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
- walnuts, chopped - 1 c
- can pumpkin
- reserved cake mix
- for topping - 1 box
- butter or margarine, slightly softened - 1/4 c
- butter not too soft - 1/2 c
How to make pumpkin dessert:
Filling:1 (29 oz.) can pumpkin2 eggs1 c. brown sugar, packed2/3 c. milk2 tsp. cinnamon1 tsp. nutmeg1 tsp. cloves1 tsp. ginger Topping:1 c. reserved cake mix1/4 c. sugar1 tsp. cinnamon1/4 c. butter or margarine, slightly softened1 c. walnuts, chopped Crust: Combine (do not use mixer) the yellow cake mix, butter and egg. Press into greased bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan (Teflon preferred). Mixture will be crumbly.Filling: Combine can of pumpkin, eggs, brown sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger. Spread over crust mixture.
Topping: Combine reserved cake mix, sugar, cinnamon, butter or margarine and chopped walnuts. Top filling. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
