Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- brown sugar
- butter - 3 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- pumpkin - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1 c
- powdered sugar - 1 c
- sifted flour - 2 c
- canned milk - 4 tsp
How to make pumpkin cookies:
Icing:1 c. brown sugar4 tsp. canned milk3 tsp. butter1 c. powdered sugar Cream shortening and sugar; add flour, baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon. Mix well. Add pumpkin, vanilla, eggs and nuts; mix well. Drop on ungreased cookie sheet by teaspoon. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Ice when cool.For icing, mix brown sugar, canned milk and butter. Boil for 2 minutes; let cool. Add powdered sugar; mix until smooth. If too thick, add more milk.
