Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- nutmeg
- baking powder - 3/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- pumpkin - 2 c
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- sifted flour - 3 c
- eggs, lightly beaten - 3 item
- cloves - 1 tsp
- mace optional - 1/2 tsp
How to make pumpkin bread:
Mix sugar, oil and eggs. Beat until light. Add pumpkin. Mix well. Add dry ingredients. Mix at low speed until well blended.Pour batter into two loaf pans that have been greased and lightly floured. Bake at 325° for 1 hour until lightly brown. Cool in pans 15 minutes. Freezes well. Can be enjoyed. Cut in slices or made into sandwiches with cream cheese or butter.
