Pumpkin bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt
- flour - 4 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- cold water - 2/3 c
- oil - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- ginger - 1/4 tsp
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- can pumpkin - 1 item
How to make pumpkin bread:
Sift dry ingredients into large bowl. Make a well. Add oil, pumpkin and water; blend well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg is added. Fold in nuts. Pour batter into 3 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350° (325° for glass) for 1 hour. Test center before removing from oven. Cool. Freezes well.In memory of Katie Ulman.
