  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • baking powder
  • sifted flour - 1 c
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • ground cinnamon - 1/4 tsp

How to make puffy french toast:

Sift together dry ingredients. Blend milk and egg. Add to flour mixture and beat until smooth. Dip bread slices into batter, turning to coat sides evenly. Fry in preheated 375° deep fat until golden brown, about 2 minutes on both sides. Drain and serve hot.
