Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- evaporated milk - 3/4 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- oil - 1 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- nuts - 1 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- coconut or nuts if desired - 1 item
- cooked, chopped prunes - 1 c
- Add soda to buttermilk
How to make prune cake:
Mix sugar and oil; add eggs. Add soda to buttermilk. Mix flour and spices. Add flour and buttermilk mixture alternately to egg mixture. Pour in cake pan and bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until done.Icing:1 1/2 c. sugar1 stick margarine3/4 c. evaporated milk2 tsp. vanilla coconut or nuts (if desired) Slowly cook first 3 ingredients together until thick.
