  • eggs - 4 item
  • flour - 3 c
  • butter - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 8 Tbsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • nuts - 1 c
  • hot water - 1 c
  • cloves - 1 tsp
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • prunes - 1 c

How to make prune cake:

Cream the butter and sugar; add well beaten eggs. Add prunes, water and milk. Add flour to mixture to which nuts have been added. Bake in slow oven for 1 hour.
