Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- nuts, chopped - 1/2 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- white sugar - 2 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- salad oil - 1 c
- cooked prunes - 1 c
- prune juice from cooked prunes - 1/4 c
How to make prune cake:
Sift all dry ingredients together. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well and pour into a greased and floured oblong cake pan. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.May be served with vanilla ice cream or iced with a favorite icing.
