Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- soda
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder
- corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- salad oil - 3/4 c
- stick oleo - 1/2 item
- whole eggs - 3 item
- cooked and chopped prunes - 1 c
- Grease and flour pan 9 x 13-inch
How to make prune cake:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease and flour pan ( 9 x 13-inch). Sift all dry ingredients together. Mix all together and bake for 40 minutes. When done, make glaze and pour on cake while hot.Glaze:1 c. sugar1/2 c. buttermilk1 tsp. vanilla1/2 stick oleo1 Tbsp. corn syrup Bring to a boil and boil 2 minutes.
