  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • soda
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • baking powder
  • corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • salad oil - 3/4 c
  • stick oleo - 1/2 item
  • whole eggs - 3 item
  • cooked and chopped prunes - 1 c
  • Grease and flour pan 9 x 13-inch

How to make prune cake:

Heat oven to 350°. Grease and flour pan ( 9 x 13-inch). Sift all dry ingredients together. Mix all together and bake for 40 minutes. When done, make glaze and pour on cake while hot.Glaze:1 c. sugar1/2 c. buttermilk1 tsp. vanilla1/2 stick oleo1 Tbsp. corn syrup Bring to a boil and boil 2 minutes. Pour this over cake while cake is hot.
