Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- oil - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- oleo - 1/4 lb
- allspice - 1 tsp
- cooked prunes, cut up - 1 c
How to make prune cake:
Sauce:1/2 c. buttermilk1 c. sugar1/4 lb. oleo1/2 tsp. soda dash of salt Cream sugar, oil and eggs together. Add remaining cake ingredients and bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven and pour sauce on cake while both are still hot.Sauce: Combine sauce ingredients in large pan as it boils up. Cook until it forms a soft ball.
