Prune cake



Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- nutmeg - 1 Tbsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- allspice - 1 Tbsp
- corn oil - 1 c
- plus 1 tsp - 1/4 c
- cooked, drained prunes
- Beat together corn oil and sugar
How to make prune cake:
Sift together dry ingredients. Beat together corn oil and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Stir in prunes and nuts. In angel food pan, bake at 350° for 45 minutes. When cake is almost done, bring glaze to full boil. Boil 10 minutes. Pour over cake when taken from oven.
